Edificio Driza Latitud se ubica en el barrio La Perla, Ciudad de Mar del Plata en la Provincia de Buenos Aires, en una zona caracterizada por su transformación urbana, por el paulatino paso de baja a media densidad.
La idea del edifico radica en desarrollarse como una serie de 4 casas dispuestas en altura, donde su forma, materialidad y relación con el espacio urbano se conjugan para potenciar la experiencia de vivir en un edificio con los beneficios de una casa.
El edificio Incorpora un patio que aumenta el perímetro propiciando el ingreso de luz y generando departamentos con doble orientación y ventilaciones cruzadas, característica espacial siempre presente en las casas unifamiliares.
El límite del edificio compuesto por muros de ladrillo visto y un treillage de aluminio fue diseñado con el fin de enriquecer el diálogo con el contexto urbano en el que se inserta.
El treillage de aluminio funciona como un filtro entre las terrazas y el espacio urbano, fortaleciendo la relación espacial entre el interior y las terrazas.
El ladrillo visto es un material presente en el barrio, en cada una de las casas que lo conforman, utilizar ese material en el edificio favorece la inserción amable de la nueva pieza urbana en el contexto.
El acceso al edificio fue diseñado como una secuencia espacial que va desde lo público de la urbanidad a lo privado del hogar, pasando por varias instancias intermedias.
Building Driza Latitud is located in the La Perla neighbourhood, City of Mar del Plata, Province of Buenos Aires, in an area characterised by its urban transformation, by the gradual transition from low to medium density.
The idea of the building lies in developing as a series of 4 houses arranged vertically, where its form, materiality and relationship with urban space combine to enhance the experience of living in a building with the benefits of a house.
The building incorporates a courtyard that increases the perimeter, favouring the entry of light and generating apartments with double orientation and cross ventilation, a spatial characteristic always present in single-family homes.
The building's boundary, composed of exposed brick walls and an aluminium trelliswork, was designed to enrich the dialogue with the urban context in which it is set.
The aluminium trelliswork functions as a filter between the terraces and the urban space, strengthening the spatial relationship between the interior and the terraces.
Exposed brick is a material present in the neighbourhood, in each of the houses that form it; using this material in the building favours the gentle insertion of the new urban piece into the context.
The building's access was designed as a spatial sequence that moves from the public urbanity to the privacy of the home, passing through several intermediate moments.
